Tiranë 30 October 2012 – On 17-19 October 2012, in Durban, South Africa, Child Helpline International held the “Sixth International Consultation of International Child Helpline”.
The aim of the Consultation was to discuss ways of protecting children from abuse, violence, abuse, exploitation and strengthening child protection system through telephone counseling.
ALO 116 – The Albanian National Child Helpline participated in this consultation for the first time.
One of the decisions of the Supervisory Board of Child Helpline International (CHI) was to praise the progress of ALO 116 and to accept ALO 116 as a full member of CHI.
ALO 116 is now part of the global organization of child helplines. During 3 years of our work ALO 116 has answered to 412,617 calls from children and young people, while we have provided counseling and referral to 11,132 children and adolescents from all over the country.
