Tirana, 3 November 2017-Today ALO 116, Pink Embassy and the Office for the Legal Protection of Children and Young People in Albania introduced this morning the service of the National Helpline for LGBTI Adolescents in Albania. Representatives of public institutions, civil society organizations, agencies and foreign partners attended this meeting.
During this meeting was discussed the need that National Helpline for LGBTI Adolescents in Albania has to be coordinated with all key stakeholders part of the system. The objective of this meeting was to provide quality and effective services for LGBTI adolescents and youth. This meeting aims to create a space for protection from discrimination, abuse and violence against LGBTI adolescents and youth.
The National Helpline for LGBTI Adolescents and Youth in Albania is a confidential, supportive and empowering service for LGBTI youth, as well as their parents, teachers and psychologists etc. The Help Line is a 24/7 service, which provides proactive and coordinated support for all the concerns LGBTIs adolescents face in their lives. The service is provided by professional staff of ALO 116 with the support of LGBTI volunteers from PINK Embassy.
